Aerosol d.o.o.

Aerosol d.o.o.

Aerosol d.o.o. develops and manufactures Aethalometers, instruments for measurement of aerosolized black carbon, marketed under the Magee Scientific brand. Black carbon is associated with detrimental health effects and is the second most important climate change agent, immediately after CO2. Aerosol d.o.o.  was established in 2007 and has grown rapidly in the last 5 years, the employees have cumulative total of more than 50 years experience in designing and producing Aethalometers.

In the last four years we have developed similar aerosol measurement instrumentation: different versions of the Aethalometer, combined backscattering and fluorescence LIDAR, and the optical Transmissometer for determination of black carbon on quartz filters. The research and development group has an academic background and includes 2 PhD students. We cooperate with public and private research institutions within the scope of the development of new aerosol instrumentation, each among the leaders in the field of research. We have cooperated in more than ten research and development projects of which we have led seven. At the moment are involved in a monitoring and source apportionment project in Alpine valleys, where wood is a common fuel, with Slovenian and Austrian partners, where discrimination between diesel and biomass smoke is the focus of our efforts.

BetterAir

BetterAir

Based on intensive R&D activities, the team of the research-oriented start-up company BetterAir has developed a unique patented particulate-filter system called “GreenBox”, which is suited to mobile application on motor vehicles (buses, trams and lorries) and which filters effectively re-suspended fine-dust particles from the ambient air in road traffic. Scientific guidance for this innovative environmental technology is provided by Graz University of Technology (Prof. Sturm).

Various prototypes of the GreenBox have already been mounted onto the roof of a bus run by Graz’s Public Transport Authority and tested successfully. At a particulate load of 90μg/m³ and a filter airflow of 11,000m³ per hour, 85% of this amount is filtered, which is equal to a 9% emission reduction by the vehicle itself. The GreenBox will be presented at the International Fine-Dust Congress from 20 to 21 June 2012.

E4you GmbH

E4you GmbH

Electric drive systems are superior to internal combustion systems in many respects, in particular, by being almost completely free from the local emission of pollutants and noise. Electric vehicles produce fine dust to a very low extent only through the abrasion of tires and brake disks. Furthermore, a substantial part of the exhaust gases emitted by IC engines that may cause respiratory diseases disappears. By running vehicles on electricity, emissions can be shifted from vehicles to power plants. If these use renewable energy instead of fossil fuels, emissions can be decreased substantially.

At the the Fine!Dust-Free Congress, E4you GmbH presents vehicles that are a reasonable alternative to internal combustion engines. Our range of electric vehicles includes scooters, motorbikes, utility-task vehicles (UTVs), passenger cars and busses. Interesting vehicles are not only offered to private persons, but we are also able to provide special vehicles to cities and communities as well as to companies and as a soft mobility solution for tourism.

Green Wall Tec

Green Wall Tec

The Austrian company GREEN WALL TEC offers an ecological solution to combat fine dust. Specially developed moss mats reduce local fine-dust pollution by up to 75%. They are inexpensive, easy to install, robust and suited for a wide range of applications. They can be fitted onto almost all vertical and horizontal surfaces. It is a natural product which suggests itself, in particular, to be used as a green cover in urban environments, in public landscape planning and private garden design as well as in interior decoration. First pilot projects have provided proof of the viability of this method in practice and scientific studies have confirmed the success of this approach. We are looking forward to welcoming you.

Human Technics GesmbH

Human Technics GesmbH

Human Technics GesmbH & Co KG was founded in 2012 as a marketing organisation for the products of Memon Bionic Instruments GesmbH, in particular, for the Austrian business sector. The parties, Haidronic-Consulting GmbH as general partner, and the limited partners Tomas Krizek and Johann Kloster as well as Franz Führer, operational managing director, can all look back on many years of experience in different sectors – ranging from an experimental physicists and a doctor of complementary medicine to a hotel manager, an athletes and a classic electrical engineers. What they have in common, together with the manufacturer Memon, is the aim to relieve people sustainably from environmental stresses such as fine dust, which is particularly critical since these particles are kept in the air by electric fields and electrostatic charging. Memon makes sure that the flow of negative ions is restored, thus demonstrably reducing fine-dust pollution. Laser and aerosol spectrometer measurements have shown that this leads to a sustained improvement of the indoor climate. References from the stakeholders’ previous as well a from the short time of their current activities provide evidence of the lasting effect and the resounding success of this constellation.

Lebensland Kärnten

Lebensland Kärnten

Lebensland Kärnten“ is creating the infrastructure for electromobility and renewable forms of energy. Under the auspices of Governor Gerhard Dörfler, “Lebensland Kärtnen” is building a dense network of public charging stations for all types of electric vehicles throughout Carinthia. These charging stations can be used by everyone. At the same time, eco-friendly power plants are constructed to supply these charging stations with electricity. In summer 2011, a remarkable cooperation was started in the field of e-mobility between “Lebensland Kärnten” and Mercedes-Benz Austria, thus turning Carinthia into an electromobility model region in Austria and a model region for energy management. The project is managed by Department 7, Competence Centre – Business Law and Infrastructure of the Land of Carithia.
